Numerical modelling
Numerical modelling of transport, chemical transformations and deposition (wet and dry) of pollutants for selected areas of the Bulgaria and typical synoptic situations. Three main tasks are planned:
- Adjusting the WRF-CMAQ modeling system for numerical calculations with nested modeling areas (including the whole country and higher spatial resolution in the regions of Sofia and Ahtopol). Preparation of modules for archiving of the output results;
- Selection and analysis of typical synoptic situations for Bulgaria representative for the different seasons;
- Performing of numerical experiments, optimizing of the choice of parameterization schemes and input information for the modeling system.
